![]() Could that be the problem with the original PD-PS3 profile in meGUI? On a side note, i saved the GT5 trailer from the PS store onto my memory stick and when i demuxed it on the pc it said that it was profile 4.0, rather than 4.1. Instead of trying the long megui process, is there any way i can compare the header of a non working h264 file to a working one. It states my video codec as AVC 3.5mbps but only plays the audio. On the ps3 the information of the file seems fine. I am, however, having a new problem in that only some will play. My problem was that I already had an mp4 and spent a further 10 hours running it through megui/PS3 profile only to discover i just had to change the header info in h264info and mux to m2ts. It would be great not to have to take this extra step, especially since I'm trying to automate this process with Linux, but for now it works and at least I'm able to get 1080p content to play. Streams encoded with MeGUI/x264 and directly muxed do not play, so there is obviously some incompatibility that h264info is fixing. If audio is not already ac3 re-encode with eac3to MeGUI x264 PD-PS3-Xbox360 bitrate=9000, output as raw AVC stream Here's my process:ĭemux source file to elementary streams with tools like TSremux or MKVextract 18, muxed to m2ts, and I'm now able to stream movie length 1080p content to the PS3 with no issues. Ok I have no idea why this works, but I ran my x264 encodes through h264info alpha. I'll try twonky or tversity and see if I get better results.Įdit: Tversity plays everything fine. I was using Media Player to stream.so it's obviously messing something up. They're not 4:3 like they should be from a regular dvd, but I think that's something that needs to be set in the mp4 file. Don't have one big enough to try the 2 gig file, but the small files work and are recognized as AVC. ![]() ![]() Now I tried it on a usb stick, and now it worked. I did the same thing above with rawavc, and when I look at the files information, the ps3 says it's an mpeg2 file. I just tried some small files, no audio, and the same thing happens. The odd thing is that it's a 2 gig file, streaming over the network, but it reports it as 167 megabytes. Then I saw about outputting it as RAWAVC, and that allowed the ps3 to create a thumbnail image, but even that won't play. At first I tried outputting x264 in an mp4, and the ps3 reported it as an mpeg2 file. I'm using the ps3 profile, I'm using ND AAC and LC for my audio. I ripped the dvd, ran it through dgindex, made the avisynth file, but I run into problems getting a useable file out of megui. Having some problems turning my wedding DVD into a ps3 compatible mp4.
